We work exclusively in the field of Mental Health Recovery and as such we understand the real impact of mental illness on everyday life. We understand the special challenges that you face in managing the illness, overcoming the symptoms, and in regaining control over your life. Our techniques have proven results, increasing both success and quality of life.

Our focus is on teaching, providing you with the information and skills you need. We use all the resources of the Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre to ensure that you have access to the best information.

• We decide in partnership with you which approach is best suited to meet your needs.
• We can work independently or in a collaborative, case management fashion with families or other service providers, depending on your wishes.
• We can work together with G.P's or psychiatrists on an overall mental health plan regarding goals and strategies that can include both individual and group work components.
• We can provide you with information about a range of resources so that you can choose what is right for you in your recovery.

SERVICES PROVIDED

We provide individual rehabilitation and counselling for

• People who are affected by mental illness
• Individual family members
• Carers
• Families

We also provide group work, and group training.

MEDICARE REBATES

Medicare rebates are available for people referred by a general practitioner or psychiatrist.

We have reduced rates for people with a Health Care or Pension Card (with a small out of pocket fee after the medicare rebate) 

STAFF

Mara Pacers, (BBSc, BSW, MPPM, PhD Cand) has over 20 years experience in mental health in both clinical and community based settings, and has twice won the Australia and New Zealand Gold Award for progressive mental health services. She has worked privately for the past 8 years and has a personal understanding of Recovery and Rehabilitation. She is skilled in a large variety of techniques, and has a practical approach.
